INFERTILITY TREATMENT

Cycle Monitoring

Conceiving a baby is primarily about correct timing. Therefore, the fundamental treatment method for couples who are unable to conceive and for whom no causes leading to fertility disorders have been identified is cycle monitoring. It is also intended for couples who need assistance with more precise determination of the ovulation period.

You can also arrange cycle monitoring with your primary gynecologist. The foundation of this method is an ultrasound examination (folliculometry), which helps determine the ovulation period and thus the optimal time window for conception. Several forms of medicinal support for conception exist (e.g., progesterone), the application of which is determined by the physician based on the patient’s individual results.

Ovulation Induction

Ovulation, the release of a mature egg from the ovary, is normally a regular and spontaneous process. If an egg is not released from the ovary, a woman cannot conceive. The induction of ovulation is utilized in cases where diagnostic examinations indicate menstrual cycles without ovulation – known as anovulatory cycles. The causes of anovulatory cycles are most frequently associated with hormonal imbalance, often triggered by conditions such as polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).

In such cases, ovulation can be induced pharmacologically through medications that stimulate the maturation of one to two follicles. Following the administration of these medications, timed intercourse or insemination (IUI) at a specialized clinic is planned. We successfully induce ovulation in up to 90% of women who do not ovulate spontaneously.
