History
The story of the GYNCARE assisted reproduction center began in 2001 in Košice with the opening of its first clinic. Its gradual development received a significant boost in 2016 when GYNCARE became part of MEDIREX GROUP. This allowed not only for the relocation of the clinic to new, representative premises but also for a significant strengthening of its material and technological equipment, as well as the expansion of our team with additional highly qualified members.
Thanks to this, the GYNCARE clinic in Košice became a leading reproductive center comparable to European centers and an undisputed leader in Eastern Slovakia. The quality of services provided was also positively perceived by experts, and from the academic year 2016/2017, the GYNCARE Košice clinic became a teaching base for the Faculty of Medicine of Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice. Another significant milestone was 2019, when the second GYNCARE clinic in Nitra was opened, and our service offering was expanded to include one-day surgery in gynecology.
The success and good reputation of both our clinics also crossed the borders of Slovakia, and the number of foreign patients seeking treatment with us significantly increased each year. Great interest in our services from both Slovak and foreign patients allowed us to further expand, and thus, soon, urologists’ and geneticists’ services were added to our centers, and we also established cooperation with experts in reproductive immunology and nutritional counseling. Undoubtedly, the last significant point in GYNCARE’s history was the opening of the third clinic in Bratislava in May 2025, along with further improvement and expansion of services for our patients.

Cooperation with experts from all over Europe is crucial for us to be able to bring our patients the most modern and innovative procedures in infertility treatment. In addition to regularly participating in professional conferences and forums, we also establish partnerships with other clinics and help educate a new generation of top specialists in reproductive medicine in Slovakia.
As early as 2016, the GYNCARE clinic in Košice became a teaching base for the Faculty of Medicine of UPJŠ. Thus, students of both undergraduate and postgraduate studies can, from the academic year 2016/2017, familiarize themselves with all the methodologies that contemporary assisted reproduction can offer to infertile couples within the GYNCARE workplace. Thanks to this cooperation, many students and future doctors studying in the eastern metropolis have already gained education and professional experience in this promising field of medicine.
Immediately after the opening of the newest GYNCARE clinic in Bratislava, which is also the largest and most modern assisted reproduction clinic in Slovakia, a cooperation agreement was successfully concluded between GYNCARE and the Faculty of Medicine of Comenius University in Bratislava. This clinic thus serves not only the public but also as a teaching facility for students of the Faculty of Medicine of Comenius University. Future doctors and specialists in reproductive medicine will thus be educated and gain practical experience at a European-level clinic. Thanks to this cooperation, the field of reproductive medicine will become a full-fledged part of medical education, following Košice, now also in Western Slovakia.
Istenhegyi Géndiagnosztikai Centrum is a modern center for genetic diagnostics, gynecology, and family planning located in Budapest. It provides its patients with support on their journey to a desired and, most importantly, healthy pregnancy. Since its establishment in 2001, it has come a long way; initially, it focused on gynecology and the diagnosis of genetic causes of infertility. Today, this center offers a wide range of diagnostic procedures and keeps pace with the latest trends in its field. There has been a long-standing cooperation between our centers, which is why GYNCARE is an exclusive partner.
VivaFert is an international online platform based in Vienna, specializing in telemedicine counseling in reproductive health and infertility treatment. It offers expert consultations to clients across Europe with gynecologists, embryologists, nutritional, and psychological counselors in multiple languages. VivaFert also assists clients with clinic selection, translations, treatment organization, and guides them through the entire process up to a successful pregnancy.
IVI is the world’s largest medical group dedicated to assisted reproduction, treating around 5,000 patients from 80 countries worldwide in its clinics each year. They are a leader in the diagnosis, treatment, and research of assisted reproduction.
